What does a contractor website cost in Canada?

The useful answer starts with the actual pages, content and tools your company needs. These are Choquer's custom-code website packages, in Canadian dollars, not claimed industry averages.

Compare the published website packages

Every project begins by agreeing the full sitemap and content inventory. These are one-time custom-code website investments in CAD, before applicable taxes. Starter and Growth become fixed prices after scope confirmation; Corporate receives a fixed quote before kickoff. Payment is 50% at kickoff and 50% before launch.

Why contractor site scope changes the quote

A small firm may need service pages, real project photos, an about page and a straightforward estimate form. A larger builder may need separate service journeys, a project library, location coverage, recruitment information, CRM routing and multiple approval teams. We agree the full sitemap first; “no page cap” means all pages in that agreed scope, using a consistent design system.

Starter includes migration of existing content and light copy editing, with content supplied in a usable format. Growth includes new copy for five priority pages; Corporate includes ten. New sections, features or design directions added after approval are quoted separately. An editable content system is explicitly included with Growth and Corporate, so ask about editing needs before choosing Starter.

What is separate from the website price?

Hosting, domain registration, third-party subscriptions, paid media, ongoing SEO and website retainers are separate. Webflow builds, full rebrands, ecommerce, multilingual sites, bespoke applications and complex data integrations need a custom scope. A standard integration connects an existing supported tool; custom API development is quoted separately.

For a contractor, ask whether your current booking or CRM tool can use a standard integration, who supplies approved project images and testimonials, and who owns ongoing updates. If changing domains or page paths, map useful old URLs to relevant new ones and test redirects. A new site does not guarantee search rankings or enquiries.
